Our first funding call for innovative R&D collaborations has closed on the 4th of August. We have received 250 applications from every area of the West Midlands, and the review process will start very soon. Grant awards will be announced in October, and new funding opportunities will be published here in the coming months. What is CreaTech Frontiers?
CreaTech Frontiers is the West Midlands’ new creative industries cluster — funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council — and it’s here to drive the next generation of innovation in the region.
We want to support you in transforming how creative content, products and services are made, shared and experienced. We bring together creative businesses, cultural organisations, artists, and academic experts to co-create new ideas, explore cutting-edge technologies, and build a stronger, more connected CreaTech ecosystem across the West Midlands.
Every strand of our Research and Development (R&D) is underpinned by a commitment to responsible innovation, environmental sustainability, and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. This means our grant recipients won’t just receive funding — they’ll be supported to shape more thoughtful, impactful work that has the potential to enrich the human experience.
