Jamie researches museums, with a particular interest in their economic and environmental impact. He completed his PhD at the UCL Institute of Archaeology on the history and development of commercial activity in the UK museum and heritage sector. He was then part of the research team for the Mapping Museums project at Birkbeck, and later Museums in the Pandemic, which examined how museums responded to the Covid-19 pandemic through their social media use. 

Jamie has previously taught at the University of Bergamo, and Chapman University, where he helped establish one of the first Creative and Cultural Industries programmes in the US. He joined Warwick in 2023, and is Course Director for the MA in Arts, Enterprise and Development.
