Heidi joined the Centre for Cultural and Media Policy Studies in 2019. She is a creative industries scholar with extensive professional experience as a freelance dancer, choreographer, and producer having worked in film, television, theatre, and live events worldwide.
Her research focuses on cultural and creative ecosystems within government policy frameworks. This includes issues of creative education, work and social security for freelancers, sustainability, inequality and the creative economy. Resulting publications include ‘The State of the Arts’ report. Heidi is currently Director of Education for SCAPVC and is a Global Research Fellow at the Creative Policy Evidence Centre (PEC).
